Dear Parents
Newsletter No. 30 – 8 May 2009
At the end of last week I attended a Celebratory Lunch in recognition of the school being named as an ‘Outstanding
School’ by OFSTED. This was a lovely occasion when I was privileged enough to be able to speak on behalf of our
school and it was with great pride that I received congratulations from OFSTED about our achievements. Clearly this
reflects on the whole of the All Hallows Community and is one of those occasions when we can stop and reflect on our
achievements over the last 12 months.
That being the case we move quickly towards the next set of GCSE results that are about to begin with our Year 11’s
starting their GCSE’s at the moment. Their formal department from school takes place next Friday 15 May 2009 when
Assembly will be followed by their Leavers’ Mass. We wish them every success for the forthcoming exams.
Next week, Mr Evans and I begin our visits to Year 6 parents. We go to St Mary Magdalen’s on Monday
11 May, Our Lady & St Gerard’s on Tuesday 12 May, St Teresa’s on Monday 18 May and St Oswald’s on Tuesday 19
May all at 7.00 p.m. to meet with the parents of Year 6 to talk about the transition process.
Finally, a reminder that half term begins on Friday 22 May 2009 and school closes at 12.35 p.m. on that day.
