We had great fun on our evacuation afternoon when we pretended to be evacuees. 

With our gas masks we were greeted by the Billeting Officer, after exiting the 'train', and were led into a hall to be placed with local families. 

When we were settled in our new homes we wrote a postcard to our families letting them know we were safe.
